Samantha Mohr
Entering her first pageant at the recommendation of one of her fellow UGA students, Mohr won the Miss Columbus 1985 title. This win made her eligible to compete in Miss Georgia. Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr received her title as Miss Georgia 1985 on the 22 June 1985. Over $3500 was given Mohr with a scholarship in addition to other prizes. The activities she took part in as Miss Georgia included public appearances at locations throughout Georgia. Mohr was Georgia's representative. was at Miss America 1986, Atlantic City, New Jersey in September of 1985. Mohr stood a chance of 22 to 1 for winning the Miss America title. Computer models proved reliable in predicting Susan Akin's triumph. Mohr didn't make the Top-10 list for the title of Miss America. Mohr has been Miss Georgia for a total of ten years, until Marlesa Bal, her successor in the title, was declared Miss Georgia 1986, on June 28th in 1986.
